Released on 29 June 2018, Dark Eros seeks to recreate the inherited eroticism of film noir, noir novels and the imagination. The book is edited by Jingna Zhang, a Sino-Singaporean photographer who lives between New York and Tokyo. To put it together, she worked with four Japanese photographers: Kiyo Murakami, Chikashi Kasai, TRMN and Hajime Sawatari.
Split into five projects, each chapter of Dark Eros gives each artist carte blanche to express their own vision of eroticism. Thus, the Gothic meets temptation, the fantastic combines with the sexy… Dark Eros displays all the sides of a shadowy sensuality.
Dark Eros (2018), a book compiled by Jingna Zhang and published by Genkosha. More information can be found on the book’s official website.
