Despite her 89 years, Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama is still working on new artistic projects. On top of her numerous exhibitions on display all over the world and the documentary about her life, she continues her artistic exploration, never restricting herself to one medium alone.

Her latest project is a collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Together, they have designed four models of skateboard, including two triptychs (a set of three boards with motifs which complement each other). True to her art, Kusama decided to adorn them with her iconic polka dots. More precisely, the motifs she chose came from her projects Dots Obsession and Yellow Trees.

Some of these skateboards are still available on the MoMA website. The numbers are extremely limited (just 500 models have been produced) and the boards are sold at $500 each.
