The art of printing is showcased at the Printing House in Tokyo. This interactive museum is dedicated to the history and evolution of printing as a means of communication that shaped civilisation, from Gutenberg’s revolutionary work to digital printing.

Permanent and temporary exhibitions present ancient machines, vintage posters and reference works. After having taken the time to contemplate these visual treasures, there’s a practical workshop that provides an opportunity to get to grips with typographic printing. Lastly, the museum offers an immersive experience: visitors can dive into the pages of books, with the sensation of touching the paper and being up close to the typography thanks to virtual reality.
