Since the creation of his Instagram account in January 2016, the photographer has posted over 1000 photos of his country, his main subject being Tokyo, where he lives.

Through his account we (re)discover the Japanese capital through the seasons, with its neon lights, busy streets, metro system, autumnal palette and blossoming cherry trees. However, Hiro Goto also strays from the city and treats his followers to less familiar, more poetic snapshots taken during his travels, like one of the bridges over the Tadami train line covered in snow, waterfalls in Oshiraji, a single swan in front of Mount Fuji, or snow monkeys in Jigokudani Park. Hiro Goto offers a photographic ode to Japan, and an indispensable image bank for anyone with a passion for this country.
