Having opened just this autumn, the contemporary art gallery Anomaly houses three galleries in one. Yamamoto Gendai, Urano and Hashimoto Art Office are three separate entities, converging on one point: their passion for contemporary art and its emergence in Japan.

As well as a large space for exhibiting all kinds of artistic creations, the gallery opens its doors to artists and collaborators in order for them to meet and exchange and develop future projects. More than a simple art gallery, Anomaly hopes to disrupt the staid rules of the art world by staging conferences, performances and other events that help expand the scope of creativity. And how better to signal this rupture with the status quo? Call yourself Anomaly. Thanks to its avant-garde aspirations, Anomaly is sure to rise to the forefront of Japanese contemporary art in no time at all.
